Public Safety services are a cornerstone for a thriving community. The Covina Police Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organization established to increase our impact in the entire community. Due to diminishing government resources, the Foundation was created in 2023 as a platform to provide vital support to the Covina Police Department and the community at large.
The Foundation may bridge the gap for innovative programs, critical equipment needs, specialized training, organizational wellness and emerging technology that would otherwise be unfunded. These aspects directly increase staff readiness and improve public safety in our community.
The Covina Police Department has a solid history of philanthropy in our community through programs such as the Pink Patch Program for breast cancer awareness, Project 29:11 Back to School and Holiday Programs, Employee Wellness initiatives, the Officer Jordan Corder Citrus College Scholarship Award, No Shave November for prostate cancer awareness and the YWCA holiday gift giveaway efforts. The Foundation can better support these initiatives in the future, which promote community outreach, the pursuit of excellence and strengthen the community bond.
“I am humbled by the outstanding community engagement the CPD Family continues to demonstrate in kindness, support and respect to our entire community. All of which goes well beyond the station walls. Through the newly formed Covina Police Foundation, I believe our overall positive impact will grow.”
