Copy of a report

If you need to file a police report, contact Covina Police Dispatchers directly at 626-384-5808.  Dial 911 if you have an emergency! To obtain a report, a written request for a copy of the report must be completed and submitted to the Covina Police Department Records Division.

Parking Information

Parking regulations vary throughout the City of Covina, please note all posted signs and curb markings when parking your vehicle. If you received a parking citation within the City of Covina, you can now pay on-line using your credit card, make a payment over the phone, or utilize the police department lobby kiosk.  

Residence Check Request

The Covina Police Department coordinates checks of residents’ homes when they are away for extended periods such as vacations. To take advantage of this service, a resident must complete a written request. 

Records

Records Services such as Traffic Citations, Registrants, Vehicle Releases, and more are available during lobby hours. Additionally, a Records Information Center (digital display) is now located in the Covina Police Department Lobby to assist with Frequently Asked Questions and Citywide Announcements.

Property and evidence

The Property and Evidence Unit is responsible for receiving, storing, tracking and disposing of all property and evidence booked at the police department by sworn personnel and code enforcement officers. Find our hours of operation as well as instruction on how to retrieve property or request the return of a firearm.

Alarm program and permits

In an effort to reduce false alarms within the City of Covina, the city updated its alarm ordinance and partnered with Alarm Program Systems to implement and administer the Alarm Program and provide educational training for our citizens. Annual renewable permits are required for both residential and commercial locations with alarm systems, and annual fees are used to help offset the costs of administering a program.

File a complaint

Personnel complaints consist of any allegation of misconduct or improper job performance against any Covina Police Department employee that if true, would constitute a violation of Department, Federal, State or local law. A complaint may be filed in person, in writing or by telephone to the Covina Police Department.

Red Light Camera System

The purpose of the automated red-light camera program is to reduce the number of red-light collisions and injuries associated with these crashes within the City of Covina. Find more information regarding our Red Light Camera Program as well as review a Red Light Camera Violation. 

Concealed carry weapon

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has entered an agreement with the Covina Police Department, to process all applications for Concealed Weapons Permits completed by residents and business owners in the City of Covina.

Graffiti Removal

The Covina Police Department coordinates checks of residents’ homes when they are away for extended periods such as vacations. To take advantage of this service, a resident must complete a written request. The police department has provided a form for this purpose. Residents can complete the form using their computer or print and complete it. Completed forms can be submitted by fax, email, U.S. Mail, or dropped off at the station during normal business hours. Once your completed form is received, your home will be added to the list of homes to be checked by department personnel.

Live scan

The Covina Police Department does not provide Live Scan or ink fingerprinting services to the public. Find other law enforcement agencies as well as private companies that provide this service.
