Captain daniel Regan
Captain Regan was hired in 1990 as a jailer. He graduated from California State University Long Beach in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He was hired as a sworn police officer in 1992 and graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Academy in 1993. During his tenure, he has been a Field Training Officer, K9 Officer, Detective, and SRT member (2002-2020). Dan was promoted to Captain on May 14, 2022 and currently manages the Investigations Unit, K-9 Unit, Firearms Unit and the Records Units. He was awarded the Investigations Individual Centurion Award by POALAC in 2009, Covina Police Department Police Officer of the Year in 2005 and the Covina Sunrise Rotary Club Community Service Award in 2003. He has completed the POST Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute Course in 2015.
